This holiday season, we’re spreading the joy of giving without breaking the bank! Join our Holiday Barter Exchange, where businesses like yours can trade products or services to create thoughtful gifts and meaningful exchanges before Christmas.

Over the past two years, we’ve partnered with businesses across Canada for this holiday barter exchange, and it’s been a fantastic experience for everyone involved! Together, we’ve saved money, discovered cute and amazing items, and spoiled ourselves with thoughtful gifts—all while supporting one another. Let’s make this year just as incredible!

 

How The Exchange Works:

To make trading simple and fair, we’ve set up a flexible value range for exchanges. The monetary value of the items traded can vary by 10% to accommodate everyone.

For example:

  • If you’d like to trade a pair of leggings worth $98, we’re happy to exchange for items valued between $88 and $108.
  • Similarly, if you have an item priced at $100, you can pick products from our store valued between $90 and $110.

This approach ensures flexibility and fairness while facilitating a smooth exchange process. It’s all about making trading easy and enjoyable for both parties!

This is just a reference; we can both be flexible and decide if our deal is close enough to make things easier. We’re excited to create meaningful and creative exchanges with you this holiday season. Let’s make it memorable!

How To Participate:

  • Send us your trade proposal by emailing contact@jacarandaeco.ca with the subject: Holiday Barter Exchange.
  • Include details about your business, the items or services you’d like to trade, and any pictures or descriptions to showcase your offer.
  • Trades will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to approval.

 

Shipping Process for the Barter Exchange:

The exchanges we’ve done since 2022 have always been within the same city, typically at shows and events we were participating in. This will be the first year we are doing an online exchange, so I want to make the process as smooth and easy as possible. To help with that, here are the details for handling the shipping.

  1. Who Assumes the Shipping Costs?
    Shipping will be handled by the trading party who is sending the items.

    • Jacaranda is responsible for covering our shipping costs.
    • Likewise, if another business is sending their items, they will cover their shipping costs.

  2. Shipping Terms and Details:

    • Shipping Method: Common choices include standard postal services or couriers like Canada Post, UPS, or FedEx.
    • Packaging: Both parties should ensure that items are securely packaged to avoid damage during transit.
    • Shipping Time: Agree on estimated shipping times. Typically, aim to ship items within 3-5 business days of confirming the trade. Both parties ensure that the recipient is notified of the tracking number once sent.

  3. Businesses in Calgary💖:

    • If you're in Calgary, we can easily agree on a meeting point or a pickup/exchange location. Shipping works too, in case we’d rather skip the drive! 😊
